Yarn is: Super Soxx Jungle Color from LANG Yarns Number 274 Parrot 🦜
I am really proud of myself and will directly cast on the next 😊
I love that yarn!!
Yeees! It also felt great while working with it, I would definitely recommend it :)
Recommended by me too! Made some socks for my boyfriend and those colors are reeeeally fun knitting! Plus it feels good in your hand
1) turn a heel
2) take over the world!
Yeees! Working on it!
Did you find the pattern you used to be easy to do? I’ve also been quite intimidated by socks!
I did not use a particular pattern :) I used short circular needles (25cm) to knit them instead of double pointed needles and found a tutorial (in German tho) especially for using these short needles 😊 and the "pattern" is only combination of a k2, p2 rib
I'm also using those needles, there are some called "addi crasy trio" - started making socks with them and it's pretty comfortable and not complicated
Heels are magic!
Looks great, glad you got over your fear!
Thank you! :)
Hell yeah, it ain't so bad! Awesome job, and beautiful yarn choice.
Thank you so much! My fiancé chose the yarn (the socks are for him) and he's also modeling the one done 😂
I love being able to help people choose the yarn they like to make a truly unique and special gift!
Oh wow!! I’m still so scared to try socks.
I have needles and yarn. I just need a simple easy to understand pattern.
I’m thinking heels are like cables? Far more intimidating than they actually are?
They are lovely!
good for you! I just finished my first sock last week, and am 75% on the second one. It is something I struggled with for a long time. Watched purltogether's you tube series on customizable toe up socks and BAM!! it worked for me. Looking forward to many many pairs in the future. Turning the hell always reached me out, but its actually easy. Picking up stitches along the edge for the gusset still needs some work, but I think each pair will get better.
Keep up the great work!!
Sorry for the late reply! I am 50% done with the next one (not matching the first one tho, because I know I would get bored and give up)
For me it was also a written explanation + knitting them in the round instead of DPNs that did the Trick! I started and gave up at lot of socks before 😅 also turning the heel? It was always so confusing and black magic to me, but since I finally did it, it feels like one of the easiest things I've ever done :D
Anyway thank you for your kind words and keep up the sock magic too!
Socks are nice, is that your boyfriend modeling them? He's got a classic healthy male hair growth. Btw congrats on the engagement, I'm really happy for you two.
